  Echoing Wind Siberians
" Rachel Royer" Co-Owner 8+ years

My name is Rachel Royer, I live in the Duluth, MN area and have been involved in the breed since the late 80’s. I was introduced to my first Siberian Husky at the Minnesota State Fair in 1987 while on my honeymoon and in 1988 I purchased my first AKC registered Siberian Husky girl, which was from a racing kennel. In 1989, after completing an obedience degree with her, I became involved in conformation showing. It was at that time I purchased a boy as my first show Siberian from Karnovanda Kennels. Fast forward to 2017, I happened upon Echoing Wind Siberians as I was looking for a pet Siberian. It was at this time I connected and became friends with Robin and Charity. As we got to know each other, I was paired with a puppy from Skye/Blake, who I called Bauer and inherently the reintroduction to conformation/showing ensued. Since that time, I’ve worked with Robin and Charity in breeding/training/showing Siberians. Together we have finished many Champions and Grand Champions, along with performance sports such as Fast CAT. Currently the dogs that I have are GCHS Echoing Wind’s Bauer Hawkey (Bauer), his sons GCH Echoing Wind’s Ride the Lightening, BCAT (Jaymz) and GCH Echoing Wind’s Thick as Thieves, BCAT (Maverick), along with two girls who are family pets. My passion lies in showing and training dogs/people. I’m currently helping teach conformation training with the Head of the Lakes Kennel Club and have virtually mentored newer people to the nuances of conformation dog shows.
