News & Updates at Echoing Wind!
December 16, 2018 - Today finished off a wonderful weekend for the Echoing Wind team at the Granite City KC shows. Our bred-by boy Tusk, aka Echoing Wind's All My Love To Kansa, finished his AKC Championship in style, handled to back-to-back majors (BOW on Saturday and BOS on Sunday) by his breeder-owner Charity Reger. All in all, he finished with four majors! Way to go, Tusk and Charity!
Another of our bred-by boys, Bauer aka Echoing Wind's Bauer Hawkey, also did very well, taking Reserve to Tusk's major Saturday with Robin Malchow handling.
This was our last show for the 2018 season - what a way to finish! :)

November 5, 2018 - Happy news from Echoing Wind (South)! Sandy from Oklahoma has informed us that Kodi, aka Echoing Wind's Kruizin Kodiak Moment, officially earned a spot in the top 100 AKC owner-handled Siberians for 2018.
Kodi finished at #60 with just 2 days of showing in the NOHS, and the first time he and Sandy won an Owner Handled Best of Breed was also the day they won First in the OH Working Group! The two of them have made so much progress in just two and a half years - we are VERY proud breeders right now!

October 14, 2018 - This was a nice weekend for our Oklahoma team. "Kodi," aka Echoing Wind's Kruizin Kodiak Moment, was entered at the Sooner State Kennel Club's 75th Anniversary Show. He and his owner-handler Sandy took WD/BOW on Saturday under judge Thomson Stanfield, and WD on Sunday under judge Jon Cole, out of the Amateur Owner Handled class! Way to go, Sandy and Kodi!
While Sandy and Kodi were showing off down south, we also had one of our own dogs making tracks up north. "Sizzle," aka CH Echoing Wind's Lightening Strikes At Kansa, made the final cut for Best of Breed at the Siberian Husky Club of Chicago specialty show on Saturday under breeder judge Delbert Thacker. Thank you to co-breeder/co-owner Julie Lamonska for showing Sizzle.

October 7, 2018 - This weekend ended on a very high note! Today Bauer took BOW and Best of Breed from the Open class for his first major (4 points!) at the Hutchinson, MN show! Not to be outdone, Echoing Wind's Shake Your TailFeather, aka "Mooni," went WB and BOS to her Uncle Bauer for her first 2 AKC points from the Bred-By class! Thank you, judge Loraine Boutwell!
October 6, 2018 - Another great day for Bauer at the Hutchinson, MN dog show today, where he and Robin Malchow took another WD/BOW under judge Wayne Harmon for 2 more points! Way to go, Robin and Bauer!
In other news, we also received the OFA results for Echoing Wind's Kick Start My Heart, aka "Jules," earlier this week, and we're thrilled to announce she received an Excellent rating! We had no doubt she would pass, but it is always nice to make it official.

September 16, 2018 - This has been a wonderful, eventful weekend. Earlier this week we took four dogs to the city for their annual eye exams, and all four passed with clear eyes! We took two of our girls, Skye and Brassy, our boy Blake, and "Bauer", aka Echoing Wind's Bauer Hawkey, who was here to visit for a show from his owner's home in Duluth, MN.
The next day Bauer, shown by Robin Malchow, went WD and BOW under judge Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna for his first AKC champion point - and all of this while completely out of coat!
We are very excited to see what Bauer will accomplish in the show ring; he's out of Skye and Blake and is a half-brother to our Kruiz, Jules, and Cher, and he inherited the best of both of them! :)

August 5, 2018 - We are happy to announce some big changes here at Echoing Wind.
First, we have a couple of dogs who have come to join us from Kansa Siberians in Wisconsin:
The first is AKC/BIS RBIS UKC CH Echoing Wind's Good Time Coming On at Kansa CA BCAT, aka "Brassy," who is coming back to us after being shown to her championships by her co-owner/co-breeder Julie Lamonska. She is a littermate to our "Mooni" and Sandy Hudspeth's "Kodi." We are so grateful to Julie for all the work she has put into Brassy, and we can't wait to see the pups that will surely follow in their mother's footsteps.
The other newcomer is a puppy girl named "Rhythm" aka Kansa You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, out of Julie's breeding. Rhythm has already begun her show career in style by going WB, BOW, Best Puppy in Group, and BEST PUPPY IN SHOW with Julie at the Lakehead Kennel Club show in Canada! We are excited to see what this girl will bring to our breeding program, and we truly appreciate Julie allowing us to take her home.
Finally, we are excited to announce that one of our kennel's biggest stars, "Kruiz," left for Canada today with Dawn and Trudy Ouimet, along with his grand-puppy "Fury" (Kansa's Whirlwind Fury), a Brassy x Justice pup from Kansa Siberians who they also took home today. They will be showing Kruiz to his Canadian CH and GCH, and he'll also get to run with their sled team all winter long. We will miss him, but we know he'll have a blast, and we can't wait to see hear about his adventures up in the Great White North!

July 15, 2018 - A great day at the Duluth Kennel Club in Duluth, MN. Today Echoing Wind's Lightening Strikes At Kansa, aka "Sizzle" went BOB and OHBOB over specials for her 5TH MAJOR WIN under Judge Mrs. Patricia Trotter, handled by breeder/owner Charity Reger! This is a new record here at Echoing Wind.
Pending AKC, Sizzle is now also an AKC Champion. We are so proud of our lovely Sizzle-Pop!
