7/2/24- Due to on going health issues. We have decided to cut back on the number of dogs in our breeding program. This is a hard decision to make but, we know it is the right decision. Please take some time click on each dogs photo and visiting each of their individual pages to learn a little bit more about each of them. If you feel one might be a good fit for you and your family then the next steps would be "Step 1" of the Adoption Process.
The Adoption Process:
Step 1:) fill out our application
Step 2:) once we receive your application a phone interview will follow.
Step 3:) If at all possible we highly encourage you to set up a day and time to come meet the available dogs of interest. During this visit we will spend with the dogs that would best match your home and lifestyle. We will spend time with each dog of interest in our play yard, going for a walk together, time inside the house etc. So you can see exactly how that respond in each setting. This is an important step this helps us make sure the right dog is matched up with the right home:-) DO NOT plan on taking home the same day you visit. We encourage you take time to think this over and we want to make sure we answer any questions you may have before making this big commitment. We also want to make sure not only you are prepared but, your home is prepared as well:-) Over many years of experience we feel this creates the bests outcome for success when it comes placing dogs in new homes:-)
Step 4:) Follow up phone call/email and discuss the dogs you visited and which one is the best match for you. Emails will sent out to prepare you for bringing home your new family member. We will cover what food they are currently being fed, setting a routine in your home, crating training etc. Deposit can be placed at this time to put a specific dog on hold for you until a adoption day is chosen.
Step 5:) ADOPTION DAY!! This is the day your new family member is able to go home! All necessary paperwork will be gone over. We will cover, health testing, medical records, contract, AKC Reg, Microchip transfer etc.
Step 6:) Follow up and checking in to make sure your new member is adjusting to his or her new home. We want to make sure we are here to help and guide through this time. As fun as bringing home a new family member can be, there will always be some challenges and we want to make sure you receive the support you need during this time.

Notes: Most of our adults have been raised outside, so training will be required if you are intending to keep them as an inside pet. They also have not been raised around small animals, so keeping them in a home with cats/birds/rodents/etc. is not recommended. Fenced in yard is a highly recommended:-) |
